Comprehensive IT Services Should Include On-Site Maintenance

We have the great pleasure of working with a wide range of clients throughout Southern California, and every one of them has unique needs when it comes to IT services. But perhaps no client in our history has as unique, and memorable, needs as a certain textile company in LA County.

At this particular company, certain pieces of hardware kept failing and rebooting with unusually high regularity. We ran remote checks and extensive virtual diagnostics from our site in Long Beach, but we couldn’t identify the problem. The next step was to physically go on-site, where we discovered the problem – the items that continued to fail were utterly caked in dust as a result of the day-to-day work being done at the plant. This was an issue that was only spotted (and fixed) because of the comprehensive nature of our managed IT services.

Most environments create issues with dust, and all computer fans need to be cleaned with compressed air regularly – our IT gurus plug one simple mantra, “Never underestimate the power of compressed air!” This proactive, above-and-beyond approach is just one part of our GECCO Core Values:
